Normal trading day
GLD, IWM, QQQ, SPY and XLF stay in the core session until 4:15 p.m.; other eligible names have a 4:00–4:15 p.m. late session.
On shortened days, core trading ends at 1:00 p.m. and late trading ends at 1:15 p.m. The five ETFs retain a core session through 1:15 p.m. No sessions on exchange holidays.
This is an exchange schedule, not confirmation that an individual contract has opened. Broker access and participation vary. Order entry is not trading; there is a five-minute gap before core trading.
